Anne Horowitz is a Brooklyn-based freelance book editor. Until 2010, she was associate editor at Counterpoint/Soft Skull Press, where she worked for five years. As an independent editor, she works on a range of projects, including both general-interest nonfiction and memoir and literary and commercial fiction, in both a developmental editing and line editing capacity. Her clients include independent presses such as Tin House Books, Seal Press, Grove/Atlantic, Ig Publishing, Milkweed Editions, Creative Nonfiction/In Fact Books, The Experiment, Library Journal, and Hal Leonard Corporation, as well as individual authors and literary agents. She is also an editor and part-time associate working with the agent Reneé Zuckerbrot at Lippincott Massie McQuilkin.
