Jonathan Jong

Jonathan Jong is Deputy Director of the Brain, Belief and Behaviour research group at Coventry University, and Research Coordinator at the Institute of Cognitive and Evolutionary Anthropology at the University of Oxford. He is an experimental social psychologist, specialising in the cognitive and cultural foundations of religion and morality. Jonathan is also an Anglican priest. He has particular interests in the fear of death as a psychological force; his new book, co-authored with Jamin Halberstadt, is titled Death Anxiety and Religious Belief: An Existential Psychology of Religion.
